
Board Member
Doug has served as a high school athletic administrator for twenty-five years. He currently serves as the athletic director at Naperville North High School. Prior to coming to North he served as the athletic administrator at Woodstock and Monmouth High Schools. He has been very active at the local, state and national level of athletics. Locally, he co-founded the Hoops for Healing basketball tournament in two communities (Woodstock and Naperville). Since the tournament’s inception in 2001 it has raised over $60,000 for cancer research.
At the state level Doug served as its association’s President in the 1992-1993 school year. He currently serves on the state association teaching faculty. He was selected as the state’s Class AA Outstanding Athletic Director of the year in 1994. He also served two terms on the IHSA Legislative Commission. Nationally he served on the NIAAA Credentials Committee from 1995 until 2002 and as its chairman from 1998 until 2002. He has spoken nationally on fundraising, office management and leadership. He currently serves on the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Board of Directors.
