LISA APRATI -COMCAST NEWS ANCHOR

Lisa Aprati is an award winning anchor/producer for the Comcast Network in Chicago.  She can be seen reporting for various entertainment, news and sports programs.  Lisa is one of the featured anchors for Comcast Newsmakers on CNN Headline News.  She has interviewed a wide range of guests like Academy Award winners Anthony Hopkins and Nicolas Cage, high profile politicians such as U.S. Senators Barak Obama and Dick Durbin, plus professional athletes, professional wrestlers and ultimate fighters.  Lisa also is the host of Inside Comcast, which is a magazine program that highlights Comcast’s involvement in education and the communities it serves.  Before hosting Inside Comcast, Lisa produced and hosted Channel Surfing with Lisa for 12 years.  It was an entertainment program designed to promote upcoming pay-per-view movies and events, in addition featured in-depth interviews with celebrities from every aspect of the entertainment industry. 

 

A veteran sports reporter for over 10 years, Lisa  works closely with the IHSA Television Network as their sideline reporter for high school state championship games, and can be seen reporting with the Comcast Network Sports Team covering high school games.  Lisa’s background includes working for various sports outlets reporting on nationally syndicated programs since 1992.  Lisa received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Aurora University in Communications and Journalism.  She also received many accolades competing in collegiate volleyball and softball at AU.  In 1997, Lisa was inducted in the Aurora University Athletic Hall of Fame.  Lisa is an advocate for breast cancer awareness, and is one of the spokespeople for the American Cancer Society.  She also serves as supporter of Friends for Steven Pediatric Cancer Foundation which raises money for research to find a cure for children diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
